Microsoft has announced some new features to be introduced in Office365 very soon. Top three tools of Office365, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook will be enhanced to improve productivity and save time of users.

Word for more Informed and Better writing Style

Microsoft will be adding Researcher and Editor tools to the word. With Researcher, user can easily find and add credible resources to their paper. With this word feature users can explore data and information relevant to the subject they are writing on and utilise it. With the help of Bing knowledge graph they can extract properly formatted data and reliable information.

Editor can help users in improving their writing style. Editor is like an advanced version of grammar and spell checker tool of word. This will help users to generate a better writing style and present good content. Along with red underlines for spell errors and blue underlines for grammatical errors, users will see golden underlines for writing style. Both the tools are expected to improve with time.

Outlook with focused Inbox and @mention

Microsoft Outlook is going to get efficient with focused Inbox. With this feature, user will not have to go through each mail, or scroll down for 10 seconds to reach an important mail. Users are already utilising focused mailbox in Outlook on Android and iOS. As per Microsoft, this feature will also be available in other versions of Outlook like windows, Mac and on the web. This feature will divide user’s inbox into two categories i.e. Focused Tab or Other. As user move emails in or out of focused category, outlook will understand and learn the behaviour and in future it will tailor it as per the user’s priority.

Another feature that will be added to the outlook is @mention. Using this user can tag any connection in the mail. Their name will be highlighted and their email address will be added to the To… bar of the mail, if missing.

PowerPoint gets a Zoom

Zoom is for interactive nonlinear presentation. It allows better navigation from one slide to another. With zoom, user can move from slide 1 to slide 6 without passing through slide 2,3,4, and 5 or any other kind of interruption. It’s easier to interact with the audience with smooth and desired slide flow.

With all these features, Office 365 is expected to become more efficient and user-friendly.
