Background

The client is a distinguished online retailer based in Redhill, Surrey. They have maintained a prominent presence in the online retail market space. They majorly focus on selling a huge variety of toys for children of all age groups, gifts and décor items.

Challenge

The client, having an extensive experience in the online retail landscape, lacked an efficient inventory management system. They maintained manual processes to manage their existing inventory. However, with the rise in the sales volume and the expansion of the inventory, the lack of digitalisation produced dismal results.

Furthermore, without a real-time inventory management system, tracking obsolete materials becomes a challenging process. This inevitably leads to wastage and unnecessary expenditures.

The client was looking for a software service provider with expertise in building applications for the retail industry and reached out to Toolagen for the same.

Solution

With a steady surge in their sales, the client found it difficult and time-consuming to manage their inventory efficiently. Important tasks such as keeping track of the goods and efficiently overseeing the constant flow of stock into and out of the existing inventory, became difficult to manage due to the lack of automation. They wanted to develop a more efficient system to manage their inventory.

Toolagen helped them by creating their desired inventory management system. Angular, Web API Core and SQL (that were hosted on Azure) were used for building a highly responsive inventory management system.

Outcome

As the client began using the new and well-organized inventory management system developed by our team, they were able to achieve higher efficiency and productivity in their operations. It allowed them to minimise inventory costs and maximize their sales. This solution helped the clients generate steady revenue. It also helped them to automate manual tasks, finally saving a lot of their time. Additionally, they garnered immense consumer loyalty as they could improve their services.
